If you do not already have a product to sell, you can create one.  E-Books and digital media downloads are very popular online sales items.  You can write an e-book on a subject you know very well and sell it on your site.  A band could sell its songs as digital downloads and promote the website at gigs.  If a visitor really wants the songs and can only get them from your site, they will buy them there.

Online Advertising Networks: There are a number of available content-based advertising networks that your website can become a part of.  These networks pay affiliates on a CPC (cost-per-click) or CPA (cost-per-action) basis.  When your visitors click the ads, you get paid.  The leading program is Google AdSense.

Affiliate Product Referrals: There are other online programs which allow you to get paid for referrals when products are sold.  Amazon associates is one of these such programs.

Patience is Required
